"Wicked" is currently touring in Chicago, and it is FANTASTIC! Here is a list of all musicals showing at the beginning of the year: http://centerstage.net/theatre/shows/styles/musica...
Dinner Theater is also really fun- I went to an interactive murder mystery play in Chicago a few years ago that's unfortunately not playing anymore, but it was a blast. Here's what's playing:

And Blue Man Group is playing Chicago until mid-February. http://www.blueman.com/ticketinfo/index.shtml
Here is a list of upcoming plays in the Chicago area, but nothing looks that good right now:

I don't know if you are coming from a same weather area because Feb would be a little below freezing point. Sears Tower is fun, or John Hancock Tower, if it was summer I would have said a boat tour on the lake or on Chicago river. Millennium Park for some ice skating may be? or there might be a concert there. Or United Center to watch Chicago Black-Hawks.

Oh I'm not sure about the shows, but Navy Pier is lots of fun and the Hard Rock Cafe would be good for lunch. Michigan Ave is great-Sears Tower, Art Museum-try getting ahold of their Chamber of Commerce for a listing of activities in the month of Feb

Its been a few years since I stopped off in Chicago, but I would recommend:
The Museum of Science and Industry (this could take a whole day by itself)
The Planetarium
The Aquarium
I would suggest you check with the Chicago tourism office ... here is their link... they have lots of ideas, and even a calendar of events. -- http://www.choosechicago.com/
Have Fun!
