How can you check cam sensor on a 96-02 Vortec 350?

    If this question is because of a P1345 code, it is usually not a sensor. It could be the result of distributor gear wear or someone trying to time the engine with a timing light or by ear(doesn't work). There have been a few cases of distributor shaft wobble(from wear to the distributor casing) and a few where the cam sensor has come loose that have caused CMP codes

    Well, if your engine is running it's not the problem. You need a computer scan program that checks the sensors while engine is running. If your check engine lite is on check the codes.
