Anyone know where I can get a free computer microphone without having to sign up for a service or product?
The real irony is that i threw away the couple free ones I'd gotten over the years because my computer always had a built in microphone until now. I just want a plug in microphone or microphone headset to use my computer for messaging. I will go out and buy one if I have to but I SWEAR there has to be someplace online giving them away.
just wondering since i had recieved one free previously online with no spam, etc resultant

i use a pair of headphones! Sounds mad but if you plug a pair of headphones into the mic socket, they work as a computer mic!

You can usually find a complete headset for under $10.
There is no free lunch, get a free mic, get spam for 10 years...

Richard g is right! I have done that too. I was a computer teacher in a K-8 school and showed the older kids how to do this! It really is cool how it works!

Right, no free rides on this. You might check eBay, but mics and headsets at stores are pretty cheap these days.
