What does the Portuguese? word "Chupacabras" mean?

I thought it was Spanish.

We have heard reports of them along the Mexican US border. They are about the size of a child in height and walk on their back legs. Supposedly they have pointed teeth and ears and big shining eyes. They suck the blood of cattle, goats, house pets and chickens. Usually the loss of blood kills the victim animals. They only seem to move at night and are very shy of humans.

OK. First, it's Mexican. The full term for it is "El Chupacabras", which means "the goatsucker".

It is a mythical creature that looks sort of like a lizard.

its am mexican folk tale...it's like an alien i guess...it means "bloodsucker" or " goatsucker" it is an alien-like creature that appears on farm and supposedly rips the tails off animals and sucks they're blood until they're dead....
