I posted a question and it was removed. It was not vulgar. I would like to know why this happened.

Hi there...sometimes people like to report abuse on questions that they may have found personally offending or they have a personal issue with you or... because they feel like they can. :-( Yahoo Answers Team is working on minimizing these problems in the near future.

Without knowing what the question was it is impossible to say, but it does not have to be offensive to be removed. Questions like "Do you like my avatar" and "How old are you?" are non-offensive questions that fall into the category of chatting and personal communications and are considered an abuse of the guidelines and can be removed. Questions of that nature are better reserved for an instant messenger or a chat room, not a forum like this. Also, repeated posting of the same question in different ctegories is also an abuse. So it does not always need to be offensive to be an abuse and subject to removal.

I just went over to answers forum, after someone else here recommended it. They say in an intro page that they are using automatic filters that screen a lot of posts. Apparently -- and I am interpreting here -- they never trouble to read most deleted posts. It just happens to check some box, as to content or maybe a word used, and it gets junked sight unseen. Pretty crappy, huh?

Someone (most likely a troll) cuffed it, and since they never suffer for this breech of the rules, they go merrily on their way
