Looking for a Bungalow in The Florida Keys...?
I hate Valentines Day with a PASSION!! I don't think you need a special day to tell someone you love them... Unfortunately, my wife does :) We live in Miami and I was thinking that renting a quiet bungalow for the weekend after Valentines day would be a nice escape from reality.
I'm originally from NJ, so I don't know sheet about the Keys. Money isn't a real issue, but saving where you can always helps!
Looking for a spot prefferably on the water and smoking allowed. So, yeah... Thanks!

I used to live near Deerfield Beach and my husband and I travelled to the keys a lot, but stayed with friends for the most part. However, I will tell you all the places I have heard are WONDERFUL.
Cheeca Lodge and Spa. http://www.cheeca.com/index.asp One day I am going there.

If you go all the way to Key West...Casa Marina, Hilton or Hyatt. I stayed at Hilton and Hyatt--no complaints. And Casa Marina is just BEAUTIFUL http://www.casamarinaresort.com/

My husband & I were in the keys in September, where we stayed at the conch cottage from the group below. While it wasn't incredibly cheap, it was VERY well maintained.
Of course, Valentine's day is right smack in the middle of high season, so look out...
