no thats not true. they supported him because he had courage and power to stand up and do right. you may have seen it as wrong, but we didnt. as for the killing, he NEVER killed them. others did. he NEVER signed papers that gave permission to do so. others did. he would NEVER spit on the Quran(no muslim would), but others would have.
