VGA Disabled in device manager....no screen on reboot?

on reboot got a black screen for desktop, boots up find, I can see everything till it gets to desktop. i have tried safe mode but same thing,

PenD, Asus p5ld2 MoBo, XP-Pro

Update:

when entering the safe mode, it starts loading drivers and stops...

Update 2:

i'v also tried pressing F5 which brings up the safe mode menu, has an option for VGA Mode, same thing, loads up to a black screen

    You need to enter the BIOS, there you can enable\disable VGA.

    Unsure how your mobo enter BIOS upon bootup, could be pressing F2, Del or Esc.
