Do people realize that Bush won the election?

C'mon guys, quit your crying'. We had to suffer through 8 years of Clinton...eight years of Bush is your punishment. You will get another shot in 2008

Yes ... to my disappointment, Bush won the election. In the 2004 election, I believe the political schemes of Karl Rove et. al. made the American people doubt Kerry/Edwards enough that they voted for him. I mean, at least with Bush they already knew what a screw-up he was ... they didn't want to risk voting in an even worse screw-up. Alfter all, we can't forget the "Swift Boat Veterans For Truth" and the ridiculous bi-sexual rumors.

As far as the 2000 election goes, I think that someone must be blind not to see that there was definitely some fraud happening. I mean, what is the likelihood that Al Gore would win Florida and then have Florida taken away ... especially when his rival's brother is the Governor there?

And to echo a comment made by a previous answerer ... do you think that if we held an election today that Bush would get the same support that he did 2 years ago? If you've paid any attention to the approval rating polls, you'd know the answer to that.

It's almost 2007. Pretty soon, he'll be out of job ... now, lets just pray that the Democrats don't nominate Hillary.

haha well he thought he won by a landslide with his political capital speech! Then he started pumping through all his crap like harriet myers and all that other stuff, and stay the course. Well your 20% figure would be pretty darn close right now if he ran against a good candidate like edwards. He also singlehandedly ran the huge GOP lead down into the ground with a rout this year in the midterm election.

Bush is president for two more years. Regardless of how the voting was flawed, that is still a truth. Fortunately, he can't legally run again and with public opinion the way it is, I don't think he wants to stay in that job.

The vote in Ohio was close and those electoral votes made the difference. It has been documented in Rolling Stone that there were instances of voter fraud in Ohio. I also doubt the validity of the Florida results in 2000.

The judges and election officials in Florida were entitled to find out who really prevailed in that state -- they were entitled to count and re-count and look for dimpled chad all that they wanted. The hand re-count should NOT have been stopped.
