How do I potty train a cat that was already potty trained?
I have had my cat for 3 years and she was only going in her litter box. Now, she has accidents all the time and I don't know what to do! We did get a new cat, but her accidents started before then.

Maybe you should change her litter brand, maybe it bothers her feet...maybe it's to rocky or maybe it smells funny to her. Or try putting the litter box a new place where she can see where it is more clearly.
That happened with my cat once. I changed the brand of litter and problem solved! Now I have 4 cats with 4 litter boxes and 4 different brands of litter.
Hope that helps! =]

Definately take her in for a checkup - sudden "accidents" with a litter-trained cat can be a warning sign that there is problem. Could be a urinary tract infection. good luck- hope she's OK!

When cats start having accidents like that something else is going on - either she's sick or unhappy - you should take her to the vet.

1.) she may have a medical problem
2.) have you been around someone elses cat? is she peeing on things that have been outside the house where the other cat had a chance to rub on it?
