It's best to set resolutions that are actually achievable and where the goal is a specific one and isn't so vague. For example, saying "I want to lose weight" is not a very good resolution, but "I want to lose twenty pounds" is, because you've set a specific goal for yourself.
Or let's say you smoke a pack a day you'd like to quit smoking. Instead of saying "I want to quit smoking", maybe you could set a plan for yourself. You could work your way down to only smoking half a pack a day by the end of February. By the end of April, you could stop smoking entirely.
Get it? Resolutions and goals are good, as long as they're reasonable and specific.

I dont think it's ever a bad thing to set goals for yourself. I think that the trap most people get into is that the goals they set arent realistic. Be kind to yourself.

Absolutely. Always healthy to acknowledge your errors and your willingness to correct same (so long as you don't become an extremist).

It depends, just lke what you say. If its not gonna be true, then they're bad. But if they are then its good.
