I just went to the Indianapolis Auto Show and talked to a GM employee about the 2009 Chevy Camaro, since they had the prototype on stage. They said that the car will be released in late 2008 as a 2009 model, and pricing is not known, because they haven't decided on engine packages yet.

Current speculation is a 5.3 liter V8 for the base Camaro, a 6.0 liter LS2 for the Z28 model, and the 7.0 liter LS7 (Z06 engine) for the high end SS Camaro. All engines will be equiped with displacement on demand technology, allowing you to possibly get 30 mpg on the highway.

Re-phrase that question a bit. "2007 Camaro?" I don't think the Camaro would be debuting in the U.S. until at least 2008 or 2009.

The last that I heard was that Chevrolet announced that they would build the Camaro at their Canadian plant for 2009 (which means they'll release it in 2008)

Late 2008,early 2009. They are going to make an affordable V6 also. Easy on the insurance too.

They first introduced the concept car in 2006, and another one in 2007. No production on these vehicles yet.

It looks to be one sweet ride.

it's a 2009 model and it won't be out until the summer of 08 and depending on the model you want they will probably start around $18,000 and go up to $37,000.
