Weird symptoms. Could I be pregnant?
Ok, I have one child, who is 3 years old. I knew immediately after I concieved with him that I was pregnant.
Recently, my husband and I decided that I should go on birth control and wait till he's out of school to concieve again. I am on my second pack of Orthotricyclen lo and have been on it in the past, but never experienced what I am going through now. For the past 2 weeks I have had pre-menstrual (only a little worse)-like breast tenderness. I feel bloaty. I'm always tired and I'm MOODY. Two days ago, I thought I had started my period and it was 4 days early. I have not missed a pill, so it wasnt breakthrough bleeding... just some spotting. I had a little spotting yesterday and today as well, but nothing like a period. Tonight, I noticed that my breast felt moist when I took my bra off, and figured out I was lactating just a tad- from both breasts!. 4 HPG's over the last 2 days proved negative. What the hecks goin on here?

birth control pills trick your body into thinking its pregnant. because you already have a child, your body could be going through the motions of being pregnant, such as the lactating. as for the spotting, it could just be that you are not taking the pills at close enough to the same time. taking one pill in the morning, and the next almost 36 hours after can have a little effect. i have been on Orthotricyclen lo for a few months, and when i started missing a pill here and there, or taking them at different times, my period started early. i took them at exactly the same time the next month, and i didnt start until i had 2 sugar pills left. it is just your body getting used to the horomones. but if it doesn't "fix itself" you should see a doctor.

You are being bombarded with hormones that mimic preg. IE progesterone and higher levels of prolactin (hence the leakage). You will prob feel like this for a while longer, but I would speak to your doctor. It is always feasible to be pregnant, the pills are to prevent you ovulating, and if you do become preg. you will usually abort the baby due to the high levels of hormones (the baby can not attach its self the uterine wall and therefore dyes).

From what you tell me it is possible that you are pregnant but not likely. You may just have an infection.
