Jeep Compass or Honda Element or Other?
I'm car shopping now. I think I've whittled it down to either a Jeep Compass or the Honda Element. Which is best and why? Are there other AWD autos I should consider? I'm looking to keep price as close to $20k as possible (or lower!). I didnt like the CRV - kind of boring to drive. Thanks!

Get the jeep compass it gets great gas mileage and lots of pep... AND LOTS CHEAPER!! Or you could consider a jeep patriot. These are like the compass but the msrp is only 14,000!!

Honda Element. I have wanted one for years, driven several and am not driving one know because I was upside down in my current vehicle, but trust me I will own one soon. In my opinion, based on looks alone the Element has it. I am not sure what the guy at Jeep was smoking when he created the Compass, but to each their own. I wouldn't buy something the first year of production either, let them work out the kinks first. As for resale value the Honda will hold its value far better than the Jeep. Hondas have a track record for that. You can do a comparison in www.edmunds.com It is a great site for such information. It has owner reviews where people like you and me, who own such vehicles write in their likes, dislikes, and any problems. I use it anytime I am looking to buy a new vehicle.

You didn't like the CRV, but you like the Element? Interesting. Stay away from the Jeep at all cost. The Element is ugly as sin, just like the Scion bX, but whatever floats your boat. I would go for the Honda anytime, just because the reliability and resale.
