Why Do I Feel Flabby After Working Out?

I am not overweight, although I'd like to slim down by losing some body fat and gaining muscle. I work out for about 30-45 minutes a day a few times a week doing aerobic-strength training or cardio. After each workout, my abs, hips, thighs, and arms seem a bit flabby compared to before my workout. Why does that happen?

Only serious answers please. Thanks!

Update:

Here's some more information:

I do aerobic strength training where I use an 8lb body bar, 5 and 10 pound hand weights, and 4 pound weighted bar.

I know all about muscle weighing more than fat and haven't stepped on a scale in weeks.

My last "weigh in" was 160lbs. I'm 5'9" so I am not overweight nor am I anorexic as one person suggested.

I am looking for a real scientific answer to this question. I am not able to locate it anywhere on line and I am hoping that somebody can point me to a website or something.

Update 2:

Also I know that this takes time. I was very toned and fit 6 months ago but due to an injury I wasn't able to work out. Same thing happen while I was working out over the past 3 years even when I had a lot of muscle tone and a lower body fat %

This is probably what you are looking for:

With exercise, body weight can increase, and weight loss can

decelerate, as a result of muscle mass gain (you are exercising,

aren't you?). After exercise, muscle cells swell in size as they

absorb water, contributing to temporary water weight gain. After a

heavy workout, delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) occurs, with

inflammation of muscle tissue causing water movement from blood to the

muscle tissue, resulting in thirst, increased water intake, and

increased water rention until the DOMS subsides; the excess water

    causes temporary non-fat weight increase.

This simply means that your workout is simply working. It means that your "flab" is slowly turning into muscle. After awhile this will wear off.ok don't worry. And if you're not overweight honey u don't need to work out so long.Work out about 30 mins 2-3 days a week

    hope this helped u

    Bye!

It may be because your muscles are exhausted. Have a shower and rest a bit and all will be good again. Exercise is an excellent way to improve body and skin tone and shape. And don't get hung up about what the scales say. You can be thin and fat or large and toned. Muscle is 30% heavier than fat you should infact gain weight (or stay stable). Your clothes will tell you the truth about your body size, not the scales.

Either you are tired after the work-out, or you're expecting a greater result immediately than you're seeing.

Don't worry about it: You're doing great just working out!

I don't know, but you definitely need to add weight lifting at least

once a week to your regimen.

If you do not believe me, you need to check out Kiana Tom's

It may be water retention from drinking during your workout.
