Does mail move when the Post Office is closed?

mail moves every day but christmas and new years day, when you mailed your package, it moved that saturday night and sunday, it and no other mail moved new years day, then tuesday it moved again, so your package should arrive wednesday as scheduled, since it is a priority package it will move with the first class mail.

Based on my observations, mail is always moving. I live near major post offices in NYC and everyday of the week there is activity and trucks moving.

While nobody can guarantee where your package is (it is the post office) i can tell you they do work on sundays.

I don't think so. All Federal employees were off. I know I'm not planning on my checks making it to pay my bills. At least for the ones that don't have on line paying. I wouldn't hold my breath for Wednesday. With the volume alone, plan on Thursday.

you will most likely get your package either today or tomorrow. since mail MOVES EVERYDAY .
