capital punshiment. after the recent display on how other countries deal with criminals., do you think that th

united states is way to lean on criminals by keeping them on death row for years and years and continue to charge it to the citizens on this great land. i think we should do like others countries do. you go to trial. you are found guilty. you are hung or killed within a week. no more red tape. no more excuses. if you are found guilty and sentence to death. that is it. i would like to have interesting answers on this discussion. please no quoting letters, or books and giving silly answers. i just would like to know the views of others. i do believe in capital punshiment, but i also do think the u.s. spends way too much time housing violent and death row criminals.

    well the USA is still a young country, and the death penalty that other countries do are centuries long tradition. beside death penalty cost more for the taxpayer then life in prison.

    also what about people who are wrongfully convicted. putting someone to death is like saying "we don't know what to do lets take the easy way out
