What is good for your hair to keep the static out?

this may sound weird but a good old can of static guard (or a generic), like you would use on clothes. it's cheap and it works. spray it on your brush and pull it through your hair. you can spray it right on your head i think, but i do it the other way so it doesn't get in my eyes.

Use hairspray or a finishing gloss on it. I seem to get a lot of static during the winter months and both of these things seem to work. Bumble & Bumble makes a gloss and you can also get ones at the drug store. They are clear in color and you just rub a small amount in your hands and rub through the top of your hair. Sometimes they are used for frizz control but work for static too! Just use a small amount.
