What thickness of foam should I get for a window seat cushion?
I will be having a custom cushion made to fit the space. I want it to be thick enough that you could sleep on it. Any internet resources would be helpful as I will have to order it.

Don't go less than 3"; 4" is better. Make sure the fabricator wraps the foam in dacron to make it look and feel cushier.

Four inches is pretty much standard for a cushion. As for sources, try Joanne's Fabrics, Hobby lobby, Ben Franklin stores, and Michael's. These are all craft/art stores and are pretty competitive in pricing

Any 3 to 4 inch foam will work. If I was you, save a few bucks, if its possible and go to any local sewing and craft shops in your area. You can get the exact shape, thickness, etc you want, and... you save on shipping. Or if getting stuff off the Internet is really what you gotta do, try going to any of the following sites:

if you want to sleep you should get 3-5 inches. have them show you a sample of the foam. I would like 5 inches to make it softer to sleep.

I would say 3 to 4 inches. You can order the cushion from this site.
