Of course. On some level, it's important to everyone. Forget all that stuff about "acceptance" and "doing the right thing". Many of the people I know, if not all, would do some veeeery stupid stuff if approached by the so-called "popular people"

I could lie and say I'm above it

    But I won't

    I'm not.

    How sad...

Not at all. I'm in my 30's and dropped the "social status" when I graduated high school. When you get older it's less important to you.

It is not really that important to me but because society dictates that this is how we should be, then most people try and improve their social status in order to stand out.

NO, social status says nothing about a persons character, personality or what kind of a person they are.

Yes........it is very important.... I strive to be on the lowest rung of social status.... somewhere between crash test dummy & insurance salesman...

Social status?? I really could care less.... I am who I am... I do not want to be what I am not....

Role is the mask we wear and status is the place where we do our acting while wearing the mask. Where I am at is very important to me. I hate it when I don't know how I got there.

  • About as important as the turd I flushed down the toilet this morning, about as important as Britney Spears' "career", about as important as the difference between tangerines and clementines, as about as important as some of the questions you get on here...

    Well ...yes and no.

No= I never judge any one because of where they live, what they do for a living or what kind of clothes they wear or what kind of car they drive.

Yes= I would love to drive a nicer car, wear nicer clothes and have a lot more commas in my bank account, and live in a nicer house ...you know, we all want what we don't have.....

Not at all. It's just too bad the whole world judges you that way.
