Ideas for a baby shower!!!?

That is super sweet of you guys!

Here are just a few ideas from past babyshowers that I have gone to.

Like, for games, once there was this 'statistic' game. And like, the hostess handed out papers to all of the guests with the questions like baby's height, weight, eye color. And the person who got the most answers correct won a small gift. At the party I went to the gift was just a 10 dollar gift card.

Um, we played "pin the binky on the baby" it was corny, but funny regardless.

Then for food, all of the showers I have gone to have been strictly finger foods. Vegetable and fruit trays. Cheeses, meats, crackers- things of this sort.

And since she is a single mom, I would say either all of you ban together and buy her something big that she really needs like a crib, or a stroller. Or get her giftcards- that way she can get what she needs.

You should get together with your friends, the ones that will be at the shower, and all pitch in for a scavenger hunt gift game at the shower!!! This is a fun way to gift unusual, but wonderfully helpful, items for the new mommy. In one room you could have a moses basket with a collection of DVDs for her to watch during all those late nights with baby. IN another room you could have a swing for baby with a fully stocked diaper bag sitting in it (diapers, bottles, carseat toys, plush animals, powder, diaper cream, wipes, etc). Another room could have clothing items folded nicely in wicker baskets for baby's room. Come up with fun clues to the gift she will be looking for....make them rhyme, if you can!! See if she can guess what the gift is before she finds it. Each gift she finds has a clue to the next one!!!

If everyone at the shower knows each other....you could all get together and do a really different and memorable shower!!
