If it's true that we are what we eat....then....?
by ingesting the meat of animals (and plants) which consists of cellular matter containing DNA are we risking combining our DNA with the DNA of cattle? chickens? pigs? potatoes? carrots? ad infinitum?
What happens if the DNA of the food has been altered? cloned? How will this affect us?

In our stomachs, we digest DNA so that it becomes a series of nucleotides, sugars, etc. This helps us to build more of our own DNA.
I hope that this helps.

No none of these statements are corrects. after we digest the meat, DNA and proteins will be degraded into monomers of nucleotides and amino acid respectively. then these species get Incorporated into DNA and proteins. thus by eating an animal we will not get their DNA or Proteins, but we will digest them into monomers and used to synthesis our DNA and the necessary protein.
