tattoo question?
I got my second tattoo 2 days ago, and ever since I washed it for the first time the colors seem to be smearing on one another. My blue stars have a little orange on them, and my orange, red and yellow sun has a little black in it (from the outline)...its just looking dull and smeary...will this just go away after healing? Or did I mess it up somehow?
I went to a very good artist, the same one who did my first. I clean it right. If someone who knows about and has tats could answer, that would be great thanks! I am hoping the out of place colors are only on the surface, but they dont seem to be coming off with cleaning.

whenever you get a tattoo, there is a little "bleeding out" meaning it looks as if the skin is pushing the ink out. no big deal, completely normal. if after 2 weeks to a month it's still dull and bad looking, go to the artist and get a touch up (these are generally free) it should scab over in a few days and then have a glossy look. a week later and it'll be fine. there's no way for the ink to get smushed around or anything. just moisturize two to three times daily and keep it out of the sun

noi big deal this is normal the color has to sink into your skin and you have many layers of skin but but if it doesn claer up in about a month then go see the artist cuz he can recolor the blue stars to take away the orange

I haven't had this problem with mine so I can't suggest what the problem might be, but I think the best thing you can do is go back and see the artist.
Very soon.
It could be nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry.

It just the colors that have come out and are in the scab. Just keep it clean and a thin coat of ointment on it and it'll be fine.
Damn it I said a dragon not a wagon....

there is no way that you smeared it. the colors only go where the needle puts it. just keep it moisturized. if it still doesn't look right once it has healed, go back to the artist, and he can touch it up.

i do not think you should be washing your tattoo.. you should be putting ointment on it... i am not sure what happen but i think you mess up your tattoo or you can go talk to the person who did your tattoo.. You should have cover it or you should see what happen after you clean the whole thing off.. maybe is just the color.. but it should not happen.. because ink stink on you it doesn't come off.. can you still see your tattoo where is tattoo.. You should search information.. good luck hope you didn't mess up your tattoo.. I wanted to get second one but my hubby doesn't wanted me too.. :(

try not to pick at it it maybe ink on the surface of your skin. try to only wash the tatoo with your hands and not a cloth or scrunchie thing. and try using something basic on it like dove soap or better yet ivory followed by a moisturizer with cocoa butter and no fragrance

I've never had a tattoo. Did you do it yourself? That's what I understand you to mean. I'm guessing it will clear up, but if this is your second tattoo what happened with the first one? Ask a good tattoo artist about it. He would know, I'm sure.
