Should I apologise to the British National Party?
I am just celebrating getting a violation notice because I stated that supporters of the BNP are thugs. It does not surprise me because the BNP on the one hand go on about free speech and being able to say what they want about non-white people, while trying to restrict free speech because their feelings have been hurt by people making comments about them

No don't apologise. Not that you would. You're only asking to make another point.

You need to report that on the Forum as an unwarranted violation. Unless you said that they were all thugs.
Why should you appologise? Whilst I accept that they are not all thugs - bearing in mind that you have elderly pensioners in this country belonging to their Party - there are sufficient numbers of their supporters who end up in prison to state with confidence that many of their supporters (if not members) are thugs. Hence no apology needed. You should not need to apologise for speaking plainly.
However it is important to remember that you cannot brand all their supporters or members as thugs.
I am not a supporter in anyway of the BNP and I hate any form of racism. I have made my points very clear on here in the past - however Y!A is not a platform behind which people can hide. It is a knowledge database under development, it has a large band of people working through the Forum to ensure that people stick to the Community Guidelines which are the rules that govern it.
There are plenty of Trolls who may have reported you for the fun of it - you cannot be sure that it was BNP supporter or member.

I dont know any members of the BNP that are thugs.
I think that you have just been repeating what you have heard other misinformed ppl say and you think it sounds good.
Of course I respect your rights, even to make ill judged comments,it is what the BNP stand for.
I have had many violations ,without any justification whatsoever, its just certain individuals working outside the spirit of yahoo Q&A. who report others.
BNP do have certain issues regarding immigration b ut this doesnt mean they are racist. They are not racist. They have issues with immigration and do not feel they are superior to any other race. They do however, care passionately for all things british, our culture and history.Currently being undermined by the labour government.
Take a look around, ask yourself, honestly how much the government is doing to preserve your familys health and happiness. Then take a look at the BNP manifesto. They dont have much money like the big parties, they dont have big egos and tax paid residence at Dorneywood playing croquet either.
So what do they have?A desire to protect the values of britain ,the values that our grandfathers fought and died for, that are now being dismissed by blair and brown as they pursue the next focus group and stealth tax.
Im not suggesting the BNP offer everyone what they want from a political party, what i am suggesting Is not to be blinkered and jump on the trendy leftist bandwagon without being in charge of the facts.

Did the BNP push for the notice?
I believe in the true spirit of freedom of thought and speech which would entitle anyone to run for politics no matter what their ideals are.
Shame our western governments have become the dictators our fathers and fore fathers fought against.

Yes, you should visit their website and educate yourself before coming on here and ranting. You're uneducated and need pointing in the right direction.
You should subscribe to the BNP and apologise profusely

We are all entitled to our own opinions, sometimes they get us into trouble, but we live in a free country and are supposedly free to air them, all political partys have thugs and extremists. The labour party has had top men who have are ex union bully boys,The other two mainstream parties are no different,I wouldn't go so far as to say that all members and supporters of any political party are thugs, this is another example of the minority influencing peoples opinions

No, but you should apologise to their supporters who are voting for a legitimate political party!!! Your veiws about the BNP are your own,you are entitled to them. What you are not entitled to do, is to brand all those who wish to support/vote for them "thugs"!!!!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
If you feel strongly about what you said, don't apologise!
