The Mad cyclist

I currently cycle to work but it is an easy 3 miles each way. I am starting a new job which is 10 miles away and I plan to cycle some times, perhaps one day a week to start. Can you recommend a bike which is light enough to maintain a good speed, but which will cope with potholes etc. I don't want to spend more than about £250 if possible

I need to top up the brake fluid on my 2001 VW Sharan diesel. The fluid reservoir is positioned in such a way that it is very difficult to access. I can reach it to take the lid off but getting the bottle of brake fluid anywhere near is a near impossibility. Anyone had experience of this with the Sharan and any bright ideas

I put it on from time to time and when I see Pat Robertson with his right wing political rants and Benny Hinn with his smarmy self-gratifying drivel and dodgy claims about being able to heal people it just makes me cringe. I mean, what worse advert could there be for Christianity?

A question about justification by faith. If you truly believe in this you have to accept the possibility that concentration camp guards who were Christians and repented were destined for heaven, while all the poor Jewish people who were massacred in the holocaust were all destined for hell because they did not believe in Jesus. I for one cannot accept that a just God would allow such a monstrous injustice but how do you answer this one?

I have fond childhood memories of Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight and returned there about 5 years ago to find that parts of it have fallen into the sea due to coastal erosion. I looked on Google Earth and the Maze is looking precariously close. Has anyone been there recently and do you know if any more has been lost?

I am just celebrating getting a violation notice because I stated that supporters of the BNP are thugs. It does not surprise me because the BNP on the one hand go on about free speech and being able to say what they want about non-white people, while trying to restrict free speech because their feelings have been hurt by people making comments about them

My kids have each had a Nintendo Ds for Christmas and i am worried about them scratching the screens, especially the lower one. Do you use screen protectors? I have heard that they can do more harm than good by leaving a sticky mess on the screen?

They are usually ugly black 4 wheel drives like Porche Cayennes and Range Rover Sports

It is possible to buy some very cheap printers these days but then you spend a fortune on ink. Is it worth paying more for a printer to save on ink in the long run, and if so which one to get?
