If I get married in the Philippines, how will I be able to live & work there legally?
My boyfriend & I want to get married in about 2 more years. I am a US citizen. He is Filipino. We will probably get married at the Justice of the Peace in the Philippines. I love the Philippines, the Culture & I want to live & work there someday. How will I be able to live there legally & obtain work legally?
I've read online that I have to get my passport amended after getting married. And that I will need my marriage certificate to obtain employment. But are there legal procedures I need to follow or some type of visa I would need to obtain after getting married?
Thanks. :-)

You'll have to go through the same type of a process Filipinos go through when they marry an American and immigrate here. You can get all the info you need from the Philippine Embassy in Washington, DC.
