There's not much you can do besides sleep as much as you can at night. Every pregnant woman goes thru this stage, you just need to stick it out, take cat naps at work if you can, (don't drive! when you are falling asleep) and just know that it will get better. In a couple weeks you won't be able to sleep anymore and you will look back and wish for the days when you could sleep! LOL! :O) Good luck!

Get as much sleep as you can at night. Honestly this is the first step. Then eat alot of fruit. If you satrt to feel tired , yes grab an apple..or some strawberries. Fruit has natural sugars in them and they will give you a little extra boost.

You can talk to your docotr about switching prenatals to one that will help you with the nergy boost I think PrimaCare is a good one for that but again, ask your doc.

Also, this may pass. You are still early on and your body may just need more time to adjust. If you do not want to change pills right away or you like the one you have, then just try to sleep and eat fruit. Also it has been shown that you can have up to 2 cups of coffee or other cafinated beverage and it will not affect your baby. Jucies and smoothies also help...

    Congratulations and welcome to parenthood.

My advise to you would be to contact your OB seeking his opinion on your adding Iron to your daily prenatals. It sounds to me like your are lacking some vitamins. This is totally normal for pregnant women, your baby is taking the bulk of everything you take in. If he does not care for that idea, simply go to the grocery store and purchase yourself some Welch's Grape Juice. This product is full of iron and other necessary vitamins.

Also banana's are a good source of potassium, apples, broccoli and carrots will add to many vitamins to your diet.

These may or may not help, I think they will.

Try and get as much sleep as you can, perhaps now is the time to cut back at work if you are working full time. Not all pregnant women work up untill they have their babies.

    Good Luck

That's about the time in my pregnancy that I had to take naps during my lunch hour at work. Tell someone you are going to nap at lunch, and make sure they come get you when lunch hour is over, so you don't get in trouble! :)

Please don't drive if you are that tired. Take a nap first, only drive when you are awake. Falling asleep at the wheel is very dangerous, and as far as the police are concerned, it is the same as a DUI.

Go to bed early, sleep in if yo can. Take naps when you can. Lighten your load on things you have to do each day. How cares about house work just focus on yourself. Yeah and don't drive if you are going to be falling asleep that is not good. Good luck.

There isn't too much you can do, other then getting plenty of rest. Your diet can also be a factor, so check with your doctor to see if you may be lacking something. It can get better once you get to your second trimester.

I was the same way with my first pregnancy. You just have to wait it out.

    Enjoy it while you can!
