Why does it appear that half the people who ask questions can't string a sentence together?

Ah a man after my own heart.
I have no idea why some people find it so had to write a proper sentence. It's not hard.
I had bravado to suggest to someone yesterday they write in plain English and not in some garbled shorthand, and they liberally insulted and harassed me! They went as far as to write a derogatory comment on another unrelated answer of mine.
What is very strange is that without a clear, well constructed question we can't possibly hope to assist by providing an answer. It is a counter productive strategy.
Still once they reach the big bad world and find out that slang, misspelt words and made up words are just not acceptable, they will change their words quickly.
You could say it stems from a lack of proper education (or at least application), but I suspect most have perfectly adequate educations but are too lazy, cool or just can't be bothered to write properly.

You have 'stringed' your question together appropriately, so 10 out of 10 to you from me. I bet you are in the UK? I also get fed up with people confusing words like there and their and not using capitals.
Tip - Try asking questions from 9am until 3pm when most of them are at school!
Also before I go, what does LOL mean?

One could argue that is why they are asking questions, in order to obtain the grammar skills needed to build a sentence. One could also argue that they are in desperate need of education, which apparently their parents and their school system are not giving them. I feel that both of these arguments are correct and, quite often, coincide.

I think people enjoy answering the questions but couldn't be bothered with sentences, I think sometimes they are just trying to get maximum points so they just answer 'yes' 'no' 'don't know' etc
I the more serious questions get more serious answers, mostly in sentences.

Ignorance. It doesn't appear, it is. It is my hope however, that forums such as these will renew a sense of interest in writing. I for one am here to improve my wit. I would hate to think that the carpel tunnel syndrome was not worth it.

Same thing happens in the runescape forums - people go there and think its normal, acceptable, even, and then spread it all over the internet.... I blame runescape... I ususally do.
But - you can't blame them, they could be young. The world holds many people.. And I havn't seen that ("That" should be italics, if there was one...) many, only one, or two.

The same goes for those who supply answers! It seems many cannot think in sentences.
