Why is it, everytime the President tries to do things, everyone seems to beat him down for it?
Everytime, he makes a policy change, or tries to improve on things he's done, you get a mass of people on Yahoo that attack him. What would you guys do differently, if placed in his shoes?
Seriously, everyone seems to be so angry and quick to tell him that he's wrong, or stupid, but if he's so stupid, why isn't anyone else coming up with something better?

This is all too sad a truth. It is becoming popular to disagree with whatever our President says. I've found in my experience that most of the 18 to 25 year-olds who comment on politics do so just to sound smarter. In reality they are adding to the problem by spreading ignorance and apathy. Don't complain if you don't vote. Be part of a solution and get involved. Good observation, and I hope this helps.

George Bush isn't a very good speaker simply put. People use this to their advantage and rip on him because of speaking mistakes that have nothing to do with decisions or intelligence. This is a fine example of how a few influential people make comments against W and then you have an escalating situation which develops into a large number of blind, Liberal followers. Keep in mind that many of you voted for Bush in the '04 election, so if you are going to piss and moan about Bush now, you better have some good evidence and proof to back yourself up.

It's call politics! There is always going to be people who don't agree. I thought his speech this evening was wonderful. Finally a possible solution to the end of the war!! Finally goals set!!! For the first time since I can recall he made a speech which he sounded sincere!!
For the last part of your question people have told him what would be best that is why there are new plans in place to put an end to the war!!!

I agree.....I am so surprised to the hatred of this president everytime he says or does anything.......
I mean if you are of the opposite party and you disagree with him, as you will, why be so hateful.?? I mean, why not state that you don't agree, then explain what your idea would be.....Quit stabbing him in the back....You vote one way on issues, then when he agrees to it, you change your mind and disagree...
When he was voted in office in NOV. of 2000 , then took office on Jan 20th of 2001, Then 8 months later, 911 happened. ( Mr Bush has been bashed by the dems from day one because he won the election.....Mainly because Al Gore cried so loudly for so long..).. ..He is our President and we need to stand behind him and his decisions......We may not agree all the time, but he is only human and doing the best he can....I know with all the hatred out there, I wouldn't want the job! Thanks Mr. Bush for your hard work to keep us free and as safe as possible...

the fact is that he's arrogant, he tries to come across as a man who listens by stating other possibilities in his speeches but the truth is that he's not willing to compromise and that it's his way or no way. Maybe if the man would do something that the majority of the country wanted that wasn't necessarily something he wanted he would be seen as a man who would have more credibility

Sounds like the way republicans reacted to every thing Clinton did. I learned from Rush Limbaugh how to loathe a president. However, this one deserves it.
Stand by your man Michael (below). If your wife or husband lies to you and cheats on you, as Bush has to the public, you don't defend that person. You leave them. Some are just gluttons for punishment.

Well, his "stay the course" philosophy has failed bigtime, and yet he refuses to listen to reason. He's been advised, and he's choosing to do as he pleases, despite the validations that his decision isn't a smart one. Yup, ol'e George needs to go on back to Crawford with his copy of "My Pet Goat" and please take Sean Hannity, Bill O'Rilley and Rush Limbaugh with him. Oh heck, maybe they can stop off at the rifle range and pick up "Quick Draw Dick" Cheney, and just make a hootenanny out of it for good measure.

I'm sure people could. but they don't have the money to pay him to listen. what would it help if i did come up with a plan. am i the president? no. am i the vice president? no. i have never even been to washington. so i am sure when i sent him the email of what i thought he should do... or should i just call him. i can hear him now. yeah..sure..ok i'll get right on that.

I listened to his speech and agree with everything he said. To walk away now will leave our country and people in harms way, not to mention all the good people over there that are praying we stay so the bad guys can't take over and start killing innocent people again. Put yourself in their shoe's, we are their only hope.

Many people have let their hatred for Bush overrule their love for their country. They would rather see Bush fail, than see their country succeed.
Many of the same officials now complaining about troop surge were screaming bloody murder that we needed more troops in Iraq not that long ago. Now that Bush has that plan, they do the typical flip-flop.
I would like to hear ONE plan that any of them have since they don't like Bush's.
