Do you think this would be funny?

Question

If you woke up and did your usual thing and went to get online and there was no Internet after you mess with your wires and reset your modem and do what ever else it is you do ,you decide to call your isp and there is no response other then a message telling you were sorry there is no service and you call a Friend and they cant get on and either can anyone else you know so you turn on cnn or fox news or what ever you get your news from and all over it says the internet is gone it has been wiped out it is no more we do not know the cause have you ever thought about it? We get so used to things and put all are trust into new methods switch are whole lives and just that easy it could be all differrent just like waking up the day of 9/11.If this was to happen what would we do? who owns or has control of the internet? could this actuly happen ?do you think terroists have or will ever plot an attack of this nature?It would sure hurt alot of stuff.

Hmmm i like the way you think, though nothing could kill the internet thats why it was made in the first place. Fear of the Atomic Bomb. It would be a huge prank to pull off

Would it be funny?  Maybe in the sense of  hmmm -that's funny, not funny Ha Ha.
The Internet lives on so many different servers, in so many different parts of the world that it would be imposable to wipe it all out.  It is certainly possible to mess up one or two ISP's. Not highly likely, but possible.  But there is no way to wipe out the whole deal.

i get your point, but making internet dead is quite hard to accomplish, it's just like saying you want telephone services to be gone. it's actually usual, internet is just a service (comparison:country), it has different sites for you (stores), and you put and use their services, upload pics, blogging, search info (using the store's service), so one day you will discover that that store was destroyed by terrorist, so you lost everything, you don't have connection with the store (no connection to that service), in comparison, did internet died? no...just try to imagine my comparison...so it takes time to destroy each store (destroying each network) since it's around the world, so who owns it? many, (many owns the net too) since different people established it...and you're thinking what if isp is destroyed, it's just like destorying roads, streets, paths for you to visit the store, but see, it can still be rebuilt, and at least you lost 0 data, since stores are present still....and while the roads are under construction, many are still using the store, using the internet bec. their roads are still working....

nobody owns the internet. and that is unlikely to happen because internet is network of millions of computers located all over the world. even if terrorists destroyed every computer in usa internet would still exist.
and no, it wouldn't be funny.
