What is the command you type into Windows XP Run prompt to limit what starts up at start up?

msconfig ....

You've already been told it's msconfig then the startup tab. But do you really know what to take out? When you do disable something, you will get a prompt from Windows to restart the computer, and the reminder that you have changed the configuration will haunt you! Just kidding, but you do get a reminder that you've made a change. then if some program doesn't start or run, you'll know you disabled the wrong thing. Good luck!

why do that just remove that icon from the start up and send it to some other file of your choice it is alot easier good luck over and out

You can also type "services.msc" to see the registered services on your system and control their startup from this management console.
