Is Mah Jongg a easy game to learn how to play?

It is a very easy game to play! I had no idea there were classes to learn how to play it! Of course I have played it on the internet though. So it is probably a little different!

Mah Jongg is actually pretty complicated, in that there are so many variations of rules, particular in how the game is scored.

I've played mah-jong before and I'd say that it's somewhat similiar to poker and gin, just with a few twists. There's a point system and that's classified by how you go out. You match tiles or you can go up in number (for example, 3 matching tiles or 3 tiles that go up in number such as 2,3, and 4. It's not quite as easy as poker and gin, but it is a fun game once you get the hang of it. It's very big in asia and a lot of people do gamble with mah-jong.
