Good German Food...?

Does anyone know of a good German restaurant in San Diego? A friend told me about one in Carlsbad or Oceanside, but she can't remember the name. I'm 6 months pregnant and CRAVING some serious schnitzle!!!

The one in Carlsbad is called Tip Top--it's a combination German restaurant and German grocery store (imported sweets, meats, etc.). It's good home-quality German food, for a reasonable price. I highly recommend it. If you want something fancier, there's a place in Point Loma called Kaiserhof.

There are two really good german restaraunts in the San Diego Area. One is in National City, though i cant remember the name. Its on Highland and Eighth(Headed west from 805).Theres a little Mall there thats done up like a german(Alpen) town.Cant miss it. The other is in P.B.,at the West end of Garnet.Schnitzel there is fabulous, not to mention the Spetzel and Sausage. Its called the Kaiserhof, and also has a german grocery, deli, and gift shop. Its next to the KFC. I have a friend who tells me there is a little "Hole in the Wall"German Eatery in OB at the Corner of Sunset Cliffs Blvd & W.Point loma Blvd.,in the Blue corner Building, cant recall that name, sorry. He said its the Best this side of the Rhine!

okay so Im from the midwest but I have an easy dip you gotta try!!! Just pull out a small crock pot, put in a small can of sourkraut, 8 oz sour cream, 6 oz cream cheese, diced up corned beef (about 4 oz or to taste), just mix and warm up...can add a little milk if too thick...great with crackers or rye bread

    Hope you like it
