    food, water, shelter, and heat are the main basics you would need.

    Well, if England were desserted and you were stranded there on the island you could just find a nice grocery store and eat the food off of the shelves. You could probably find a tin opener and you would be fine until your food ran out and then you would have to go find another grocery.

    This rule does not apply to a desert island.
