What am I doing wrong?
My Boston Terrier is 6 mos old. She will go and scratch at the door to go out and potty. So I know she knows to go out. But she still chooses to go on the floor sometimes. Is there something else that I should do or will it just take longer? I know it's a stubborn breed. But she has the idea to scratch the door. How can I get it across to her that she can't potty in the house?
Sorry she understands that she gets a treat after the deed. In fact she runs in and sits by the treat drawer. I praise her constantly after she potties. I use a firm voice if she messes in the house. In fact she sits on her bed with her ears back and knows that she pottied in the wrong place. Help me I am at a loss. I use a crate.

Keep using the crate as you have been doing. The only difference is that I would put her on a leash and take her out to the same spot EVERY TIME and wait till she has done her business before coming back in the house. Remember, she is still young and gets easily distracted by new smells and sounds etc, she needs to stay in one spot and get the message that she will go. When you take her for a walk she will be more interested in everything else, EXCEPT going to the bathroom ad when you had enough and bring her home she will remember that and just do it. Keep and eye on her to make sure that she actually goes before you bring her back inside.

all you can do is continue to be consistant. use a crate if you are not already doing so. she's still a pup and accidents will happen every so often. you have to catch her in the act of going inside. when you do pick her up and take her outside. go outside with her everytime she goes out to potty. when she does, and wait for her to finish, praise the heck out of her. she'll get the hint. just be consistant with her training. they are a stubborn breed, but with stubborness comes intelligence. so just be patient and consistent with her. she's smart, she'll learn.

u should like go for a walk with her and let her potty outside. when she potties outside give her a treat and talk to her like good girl/boy do it many time but always give her a treat and use your voice so it can understand that what it is doing is right.
