My dog is barking in my backyard. Should I bring her in or let her bark for a few more minutes?

Update:

Every person living around me has a dog so I think they understand. But still...

A lot of dogs bark because of anxiety. Why are they anxious? Because they are pack animals and crave companionship!! My dog is always indoors if I'm home and frequently even when I'm not home. She knows her place is at my side or at my feet!! Give the poor dog a break and bring her in!!!!

when the neighbors dogs bark, does it bother you regardless if you have a dog ? set an example and bring your dog in and get obidence classes...a dog should not bark unless to warn you of an intruder and if the dog barks all the time, how would you know if there is danger coming your way ????

No, be a good neighbor and bring her in. It is rude and annoying to hear a dog that is barking and barking.

while your neighbors might understand, it's still better to bring the dog inside because it does get irritating to hear a dog barking nonstop, whether you're a dog person or not. if it were one of your neighbors' dogs, wouldn't you want them to bring their dog inside?

If you feel that you must continue to antagonize your neighbors, they might feel the necessity to take their anger (which you are responsible for) out on your poor, unsuspecting pooch.

You should really see why your dog is barking. If you got a dog to keep you company, they why are you making her feel so lonely?

    Be nice.

    Leave dog outside 6 days.

As long as your neighbors won't kill your dog, let her bark for another 30 minutes. It is getting kind of late. It is almost 11:00 and some people have to work tomorrow. Dogs love to stand out and bark at night - it is natural and fun for them! Social time if you will, but I like pet dogs so I personally don't mind

Even though you say all your neighbors have dogs, all it takes is one person to register a complaint. I don't know what kind of noise ordinances you have, but I'd hate to see you get fined. If I were you, I'd let my dog out just long enough to relieve herself, then bring her in ASAP

Maybe you should find out WHY she is barking...?

Do you need Answers' help on when you should feed her or take her for a walk, too?

Let her outside for the whole night. Probably some cat or dog is passing your neighbourhood. If you want to let her inside, buy a cage so she wouldnt litter all over the house.

Don't give her chocolate like that dude said. Chocolate is poison to dogs.
