New user - How far back would you go?
How far back would you go to answer a question 10 minutes - 20 minutes - 1 hour - 2 hour Im sure you get the drift. And does anybody answer questions that have been on the board longer than 2 hours let alone 3 days.

Age of the question does not matter to me.
I will answer a question if i feel that the person asking it really wants to know about it. No matter how old the question is.

Once you have reached level 2 you can rate answers and vote for best answers. There is also a category of questions that have not been resolves and just by giving them a best answer vote you can earn a point. A very quick way of moving your score along without typing lengthy answers. I also avoid questions that have 30 or 40 answers and tend to go for those that I can answer with only a few answers or no answers, regardless of time on the site.

It does not matter how long it has been on as long as it does not have 20 answers. If I think I can answer the question and be helpful then I will answer it!!!!

I go back about a page or so, but what that means in real time is hard to say.
For some catagories, it's five hours; for the main page, perhaps five minutes

I sometimes go to the oldest questions first. No one is apt to upstage your answer when the question is old. I've gone down to the 20th page before I start answering questions.

It depends on the question. If I think someone wants a real answer,
I will try to help... no matter when the question was set.

As long as the question is a good one. I'd answer it.
My answer is at the very bottom of the answers list. But I know some people will add their answers. : )

I'm sorry, but I personally just answer new questions.
I answer about 50 a day and there are always that many new questions.
I don't have time to peruse old questions and I don't limit myself on genre.
I just like to help.

I'd answer any question that suits me. Sometimes I'd go back through the asker's profile, and see if there are any questions I may be able to answer.
