Will the US ever change the one dollar bill design? If so, what should they change it to?

I was just noticing the recent change in the other denominations of the bills, but the one dollar has stayed the same through not only the "large head" change, but also through the multi-color change.

(As a side-note, it sure was a shock to come back to the US after deployment back in 2003 to find the 20 was now three different colors! I thought they were trying to give me forgeries!)

They will change it, but will it stay paper or will they only make coin dollars is my question. I know that coin dollars have failed in the past, Sacajawea, Susan B Anthony, but I believe that's because they still produced paper dollar bills.

Hehehehe, I think they will change the $1 bill as well. It is part of a phasing in of the new currencies.

I first thought they were forging nickels when I started seeing the Lewis and Clark coins coming out.
