Jesus junk!?

Jesus junk!

Public Board 12/21/06

often early in the morning I turn on my television to keep track of the early

morning round of Tv evangelists.Im still shocked and amazed at some of the junk daily

pitched on TV.

Vials of annointing oils ,and "miracle water",are still big as well as prayer cloths,

miracle seeds ,and gimmicks of all sorts,-I prefer to call them "Jesus Junk!"

One TV

prophet will even give you a personal prophecy

(once you call him with the no of your credit card)

How did it come to this?

How has the historic Christian faith that defeated the Roman Empire, changed nations

and transformed the western world disintregated to cheap trinlets and religeous trash?

Do I believe in miracles? You bet I do!I also believe in Acts where it says that

hankerchiefs

that touched Paul were taken to the sick and they were healed .But paul did not have them mass produced and used for some fund raising scheme!

I also believe God prospers people .But I also believeThe Christian faithis not about chasing a blessing or getting a word.

Its about taking up our own crosses and following him

Its about studying his word .

Its about feeding his sheep and not fleecing them as these Tv folks are doing! What do you think?

Jesus is not a marketing device. It is hypocrisy of the worst kind to swindle people into buying that crap. It's the same as the Church selling get out of Hell free cards in the Middle Ages.

You are right on! More and more Christians are waking up and seeing that the majority of the "church at large" is grossly apostatized. I left organized religion 3-4 years ago. I do not watch televangalist anymore. The current church condition is sickening.

I have including some websites that you may find helpful. Apostasywatch has a section titled "wolves" and exposes many of the big and rich televang.

    Hope you enjoy:

I've never seen any selling of "miracle water" and the rest of it, but thats a bit full on profiting out of things like that!! If God was real, i dont think he would be happy about that.

I just hate the religious stuff early morning, because when i fall asleep with my tv on, it's about that time that i wake up.... and i wake up to that! it drives me insane.

large link. humorous! i became in a Christian bookstall this previous summer season and laughed my *** off on the "Testamints" and the NASCAR type toys with Jesus emblazoned on the hoods! Too damn humorous. regardless of each thing, Christian childrens might want to in common words play with Christian toys! Jesus junk makes the religion of the parable seem even more effective stupid and laughable. even as are the papal bongs occurring sale?

true. But there are many good Christian TV programs..

    I like Joyce Meyer's Ministries

  • I think these idiots are doing nothing more than spoiling the name of Christianity for their own greed.

you are right these so called telly evangelists do more harm than good. Christians should pray for each other and bless each other reely not for cash.
