What about tipping for a touch-up?

My tat is nearing the end of its healing, and I lost some color because of how much I have to move around when I work. My artist said he will take a look at it and touch it up for free, but should I tip him for it? Thanks!

since he's doing it for free, why not? like $20, depending on how big it is, might be good. where is it that it loses color that quick? maybe you might want to switch places for it so it lasts longer. make sure that it's healed, and not being rejected. ask the artist.

Most of the times when you get a tattoo they will tell you to come backl when its healed because there will always be spots missed. If its the same artist who originally did then i'd say no. Tat's are expensive in the first place so no need to tip. Keep in mind it hurts like h ell to get touched up. At least mine did.

yes, generally 20 bucks seems to put a huge smile on my face after i have spent sometimes an hour on a touch-up just to make it look extra sweet. remember, shop artists normally only get to keep 50 percent of the tattoo price. the tip is all for the artist to keep.

you can tip him with some thing little to be sure you won't be going back for more touch ups.

no need to tip him to touch up his own work if you tipped him the first time................you are not the cause of it needing to be touched up, he just missed some spots originally
