What does URL stand for?
The reason why i'm asking is cause i got a "best answer" sent to my e-mail and i got a mesage saying "URL is not correct and no longer exist". can anyone tell me what the problem is?

It was coined in the days when the internet was mainly used for research puposes. Scientists could post their research papers (resources) on the internet for others to read. To be able to find such a document, they were assigned a code, a URL. A more current term is web address.
