Hmmmm.. apparently you have no other means of reaching her or finding out where she is?
Can't you do a people search on line or lookup by old phone numbers, or anything like that- find her in an online phonebook and write her a letter....
or leave her a message....
a PI would be a bit 'invasive' to me...
