Deforest Kelley and he died on June 11, 1999 from stomach cancer. He was the first regular cast member from the original series to die.

DeForrest Kelly. He died a few years ago.
He actually made a guest appearance in the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

First of all, it's STAR TREK. secondly, Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy was played by Deforest Kelly. He was the oldest actor of those in the command Crew. He passed away in 1999.
