Abuse of Violation Notices?

I received 7 violation notice emails this morning, one right after the other. The reason for the violation for all 7 was SPAM/Advertisement. I only list 3 types of links: links to government agencies, links to FREE resources and links to FREE articles. Also I am in no way affiliated with any of those links nor do I advertise in any way.

That being said, I have a feeling that it's the same person reporting me...now, isn't that an abuse of the system? What can be done about that?

Any guidance is appreciated!

There isn't a thing you can do. Anyone here can report you for anything and YA will remove your answer or question without actually looking at it. It's a flawed system.

The problem with the abuse system is that I can report you for ANYTHING for any reason.

If I wanted to, I could cuff this under chatting or cloning or adult content, and it would be accepted.

There, still, is no way that the notices are seen by an Y!A staffmember firt before it goes through; the system is automatic

I don't think you can report a person more than once, so that theory is out.

As for your violations, you can try fighting it by replying to each violation email or going to yahoo forums. I've had no luck in getting my stuff reposted, but it's worth a shot.

People were going through giving thumbs down to every question and every answer. Because that was being abused, Yahoo eliminated the thumbs rating. Now, when people can't express their opinion with a thumbs down, they are going to the other way of expressing dissatisfaction by reporting more questions as being abuse.

Reply to each violation and you will probably get your 10 points per violation back.

However, they will not replace your questions or answers, nor apologize.
