I have a 2006 nissan sentra.....?

Question

I have a 2006 nissan sentra that received regulary scheduled oil changes and has passed inspection in October but I have an issue. The car stalls or skids when i am accelerating from a full stop even if I accelearte slowly. Sometimes i accelerate okay but when i hit 40MPH I feel a slight jerk like the car wants to skid and the engine reves like I'm stuck in mud. what could it be?

it's a 4cylinder automatic..... I had no Idea their building them in Mexico LOL.. i bought Nissan cause I knew it was a foreign car but I thought some where in ASIA. Thanks everyone

That coulc be a few things, do you have a manual or automatic transmission? It could be the trans, or brakes dragging.... if the engine revs that tell me something is slipping, like maybe the clutch or transmission.

When you notice your engine revving, is it right when you feel the transmission shifting?  Could be transmission problems.  If an automatic, check the fluid level, and maybe have the transmission filter changed.  Time to visit a mechanic too.  If it's still under warranty, bring it to the dealer and ask them to test drive it and see the stalling, weird revving problems for themselves.

You probably got one of the Mexico made engines. They are having alot of problems. I used to like Nissan till they went to Mexico.

i own a repair shop,and this car is under warranty,,why don't you take it to the dealer who sold it to you,its not going to cost you anything to get it repaired,,really the time your spending here could be time spent at the dealer having it repaired,,free of charge,,good luck,i hope this help,s.
