98 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 L started bucking & jumping?
My 98 Pontiac Bonneville SE started bucking & jumping this morning so bad my wife had to turn around and come home. She say's it was running fine yesterday when she parked it.She filled it up the other day and it's on a half tank now so I don't think it's water in the gas because she sayed it's been running fine.I'm going to change spark plugs and air filter in the morning but was just wondering if anybody had any other suggestions???
Oh yeah, the check engine light is on since this started.

Plugs and wires are a good place to start. Might want to check coolant level and plugs for any signs of coolant. 3.8's are bad for the intake plenum to leak coolant into the cylinders and cause misfire. Good luck

It could be so many things nowdays it is best to take it somewhere and hook it up to the computers at auto zone or somewhere like that....it could be something as trivial as a sensor
edit: if the engine light is on they can tell you exactly what it is with the computer and it can save you a lot of time labor and money in the process

sounds like a fuel pump or filter. a fuel filter is recommended every 24 months or 30,000 miles when is the last time you had it changed. also check the gas cap to see if its venting.
