United as one or breaking within?

Question

In your opinion, do you think America is still united as a whole? Or, do you think we are on the verge of falling apart. I would love to believe that we are still united as a whole; but, I can't believe the reality of the hatred going on amongst our own citizens.

 I had an answer to one of my few questions i asked, and it said, "we as a whole and i mean all countries on the face of his earth are doing nothing but screwing things up." Personally, I agree. no one can see eye to eye without completely verbally assaulting the other for what he/she believes in or thinks. I would like to know what a few more people out there think. As always, this is only a question that I ask looking for opinions and ideas from others. If you would like to further this discussion, you can IM me.

We are on the verge of falling apart.  We are united as long as we have our gas to guzzle and cheap flags made in China to wave, but as soon as the next big economic depression hits we will be fending for ourselves.  That will be some time this year.

Imagine it: an unhealthy nation full of people with the right to bear arms going hungry.  A melting pot of conflicting ideas and old racist rivalries.  It will not be good.

Until then, we live in the illusion that we are united as one.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 
notice the words: "not open to ANY AGREEMENT"?

it does seem that the u.s. is falling apart, but as christiantity (sorry if your not christian) is growing, more belivers are becoming active to help the u.s. pull togeather.
