Does anybody know how to transfer a Favorites list from one computer to another, if it is possible?

I have several computers in my house. One that I use a lot and all my stuff is there but sometimes I have to use another computer on which I do not have my "Favorites" list of internet addresses that I use the most. How can I transfer that list from one computer to the other? I wish I could copy that list, sent it to my e-mail, retrieve it on the other side and paste it somewhere...

If you're running Internet Explorer, go to File, Import Export. Follow the wizard and click on the Export favorites option. Click on folder at the top, that's usually the one that contains all the rest. Have it save the file to your documents folder or desktop. The path usually looks something like C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\bookmark.htm or C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\bookmark.htm . Then open your email client, attach the file to an email and send it from one account to another, or alternately, upload the file to filehosting site and send the link via email. On the other computer, download the attachment to your desktop, then go into IE and go to File, Import Export, and import the file as your favorites. If you're running the latest IE, the wizard will walk you through it. The steps are much the same for Yahoo browser.

For Firefox, go to bookmarks and click on organize bookmarks. Go to File in the bookmarks organizer window, and click on Export. Once again, save the file somewhere you can find it, like your documents folder or desktop, then attach it to an email and send. Download onto the new comp, then import it just like you exported it earlier.

If you have an external hard drive its really easy. Click on organize favorites, highlight your favorites list and click move. Move the files to your hard drive. You could also copy your list and insert it into an e-mail to yourself. You could also copy the list, make a document and print it out. I hope you have luck with one of these.

Under C: Documents and Settings there is a folder called "Favorites" which has all the bookmarks, and can be copied and placed on another computer

Yep, go to this site http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ & download Firefox and install it.

Once you have installed Firefox, go to this site here https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2410/ & install the Foxmarks extension, once installed restart Firefox & the extension should go through steps with you to create a Foxmarks account.

It's a really cool way to do it, I have 2 computers, both with Firefox+Foxmarks & FirefoxPortable+Foxmarks installed on a USB drive, And all my favorites/bookmarks are always synchronised.

    edit:

Oh and when you're installing Firefox there should be an option to import favorites from Internet Explorer.

The only difference about Firefox favorites is that they're called Bookmarks :)

Go here:http://www.moonsoftware.com/ click free utilities, scroll to bookmark wizard, and download. It will make you a list of all current, and save as active links anyplace you want them. This is truly a neat application.
