What is the source of the hatred between turk and kurd?
I know they slaughtered and hate one another but why? What is the root cause? I am just tring to understand this conflict that so far is a mystery to me. Turk and kurd answers would be most appreciated.

There was NO hatred for the longest time. But then Turkey took over part of Kurdistan...and continues to hold it (as part of "Turkey") to this day. The Kurds in Turkey would like to have their independence again...as would the Kurds in the northern section of Iraq (which was the OTHER part of Kurdistan). Because there is lots of oil in that region, the Turks are not going to let the Kurds secede (naturally)...and the Kurds want nothing else. So there is hatred and fighting to this day..

The Kurds are a very large ethnic group that covers large parts of Turkey, Iraq and other countries of the Mid-East. Each of the countries that have a large Kurdish population has the worry that the Kurds will demand a nation of their own. That would mean that each country would loose control of a large part of their territory.
The fight for land never stops. America, England, and France gave up large territories when they thought those lands were capable of governing themselves. Don't expect others to do the same. Kurdistan is one example, Tiawin is another.

oo boy it is a really long story. once upon a time they were same people but one day someofthem get away because of security (war) reasons. so after then some called turks some called kurds.
now everybody wants to have their own land but how to decide who own where according to which criterion. for example " first ı came this is mine " or " ı am the one who had it last so it belongs to me"
by the way the true story is same with somany country . America wants to divide the big power of mid east so they are using kurds against to turks. Same story: let the brother kill his brother. So ı wonder how you people are going to explain all this to one you believe in.
