How do I become an event planer?
I have been traped in a job i hate with the goverment for the last 7 years. My dream is to be an event planner. Does anyone know how one would get started in that line of work?

I suggest you first take a course in event planning. While formal education isn't always required, it's a good way to make contacts via your instructors. (See http://www.ises.com/CSEP) for certification options).

volunteer to be part of a team in event planning, do errands and learn the loops and charisma of an event planner. Not only an event planner are smart negotiators but they are more of persuaders to help people realize that they should come for such a particular event. experience comes with expertise plus credibility makes a compelling event planner.
